PopMan 1.2
( February 14th, 2004 )
- Quick load
When updating the list of emails, only the new mails will be
loaded (instead of reloading all mails again). You can still
trigger a complete reload pressing Ctrl+F5.
- Full attachment support
You can not only see the names of attached files but also open
and save them!
Executable files (*.exe, *.com, *.pif, *.bat, *.vbs, ...) can
not be opened for security reasons, because they are a
potential threat, but they can still be saved to your hard
disk.
- Show number of mails in tray icon
You can configure PopMan to show the number of
new/unread/all messages in the tray icon. The number is
displayed on a circle whose color can be adjusted for each
account.
- Email client configuration
You can configure your email client and launch it using a
new toolbar button. Replying to messages is now possible with
any email client (not just Outlook Express).
- Multi language support
The language can be changed dynamically at runtime using
special translation files.
- Stand-alone capability
You can operate PopMan entirely stand-alone (settings are
saved to an *.ini file) and save it to a floppy disk or USB
memory stick. This means you can check your mail on any
computer with internet access.
- Update wizard
You can use the update wizard to check for a new version of
PopMan. If there is an update available, all necessary files
can be downloaded and installed automatically.
- Password protection
You can specify a password that must be entered everytime
PopMan is launched.
- Advanced notification options
It's now possible to show the sender and subject of new mail
in a notification window. You can launch your email client or
preview the new messages with one single mouse click.
- Advanced handling options
Closing or minimizing the main window will hide PopMan to
tray. You can configure what happens when
