Linktexts/Linktargets in HTML-Emails
Posted: 20 May 2005, 00:51
Hello,
it is very good to have the - save - preview window for HTML-emails in Popman. Thank you for that.
- But it make sense to see in the email preview window, at HTML-emails, not only the so called linktexts of links, but also the (true) linktargets (Phishing emails problem). To show this linktargets (hovered mouse-cursor) in the email preview window, it is possible to make use of the statusbar of the email preview window (like browsers do it), or of small tooltip-windows. (If you use a windows library for showing the mails, maybe it is an easy switch in the function call for the email preview window to enable the linktarget view in the statusbar.)
- In the moment it is - instead as described above - very laboriously to do the following steps to check a linktarget: 1. close the email preview window, 2. open the email source window and 3. search in this window for the requested linktarget. To make a step in the right direction, maybe it is posssibe, to have the menu item "show email source" also in menu of the email preview window or in the popupmenu of the email preview window. This menu item "show email source" is missing completely in the email preview window.
In the times of phishing emails it is urgent to have this features... just like every requested feature...
Best regards
Jochen
