Does PopMan use custom OpenSSL dll files?

I overwrote the dll files with the newest versions but then PopMan wouldnt connect to my email so I had to revert back.

No, the OpenSSL dlls are not cusomized. But they are some years old, maybe there have been some incompatible interface changes in the mean time.
