Re: Like The New Format

Hi TengVilla,

I'm glad that you like the new forum. It was really time to update it, because the old forum software did not receive any new security updates.

Now it is possible again for new users to register for the forum, but still preventing spam bots. Seems to work so far.

I'm working on adding more codepages support to PopMan, including Eastern Europe and Russion codepgages. Note that UTF-8 is already supported, that means unicode characters are mapped to the current Windows codepage, since PopMan does not provide full Unicode support. That means you can only display...

Hi kea, the answer to your problem is to remove your email address from the white list, because otherwise (spam) mails from that address will never be deleted or marked for delete by any rule. You then have to add an extra And condition to every Spam marker/deleter rule to protect (white list) your ...

By default, PopMan works very similar to what you requested:
Tabs, that have unread mail, have a different icon than tabs with no mail or only read mail: http://www.ch-software.de/popman/MainWnd.png
I think this what you actually want: Have an indication on those tabs that contain unread mail.

I still think this is not a problem in PopMan because for me and several other PopMan users, GMail access works perfectly. Please try the following: 1) Make sure that there is no Anti-Spam/Anti-Hacking/Firewall protection tool running in the background, that might block PopMan from accessing the int...

Can you access your GMail account via POP3 or IMAP4 from within another email program on your computer, e.g. Outlook Express or Thunderbird? If not, than it's not a problem in PopMan. You may also try to use the raw IP address instead of the server name. I've just made a fresh ping: imap.gmail.com -...

I don't really understand what you want, but you can disable the WhiteList by simply renaming the WhiteList.dat file. The next time PopMan starts up, it will use an empty WhiteList.

That's quite unusual, especially since you can't write emails with PopMan. Are you absolutly sure that you don't access your Yahoo mail box with any other email program?
Maybe the Yahoo folks want you to use SSL for sending mails (SMTP) too...

No, the OpenSSL dlls are not cusomized. But they are some years old, maybe there have been some incompatible interface changes in the mean time.
