I've just released the 1.3 Beta 4, which is now able to cancel a "frozen" connection and to timeout if the POP3 SSL plugin is used. I've noticed that emails, that have been loaded with PopMan, are no longer visible via POP3. This is because GMail automatically "deletes" emails that have been RETRiev...

Ok, I've set up the GMail account and I'm able to use it with PopMan through POP3 SSL access. Only once there was a connection problem and PopMan was unable to cancel or timeout. Actually, this is a problem deep inside of the SSL plugin, nevertheless PopMan should be able to cancel such "frozen" con...

I sometimes get HTML emails that don't render as text Maybe a wrong content-type is used in those emails: If the Content-Type says "text/plain" than PopMan threats it like text even if it contains HTML. Please send me an example of such email (don't use your email client's "Forward" feature, instea...

OK, that makes sense!

But maybe it would be better if there was a separate listview for each account placed on its own tab? Similar to the multi-tab browsing of Firefox, you have a tab for each account and one "View All" tab...

What do you think?

If those accounts provide POP3 access, you can set them up like any other email account. If not, then it is not possible to use these accounts directly with PopMan at the moment because there is no suitable plugin for Iwon and Yahoo, yet. But you can still use tools like YahooPOPs or FreePOPs, which...

PopMan 1.3 Beta 2 released

This release includes the IMAP4 plugin, written by Sebastian Schuberth.
Note: The plugin checks for unseen and undeleted mails on the server, therefore the mails disappear in PopMan after you read them with your email client.

Any feedback is welcome...

The 1.3 Beta version has support for plugins and there is already an POP3 SSL plugin available. So there should be no problem. :D

I would like an option to import a blacklist, or to cut+paste a list of names. The blacklist is saved in the file "BlackList.dat" in the PopMan data directory. You can open this file with a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and append a list of e-mail addresses via copy+paste. Don't forget to quit PopMan ...

While that sounds like a good idea, it generally is not, for the following reasons: 1. Many spammers send out millions of messages each day, often with randomly generated recipient email addresses, and with no regard for whether or not each email address is valid. 2. Many spammers use innocent peopl...
