See http://www.ch-software.de/popman/beta.htm : "If you want to save your settings into an ini file, create an empty file PopMan.ini in the PopMan directory." If you restart PopMan, it will take over the settings from the registry and save it into the ini file. The files blacklist.dat, malicache.dat...

No, it's not possible to change the log directory.
The mail accounts are saved in the registry OR in PopMan.ini, if it exists.

Usually, PopMan automatically saves all the window settings, including size, maximzed state and column widths. I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Please post the content of the [MainWindow] section of the PopMan.ini file. Mine looks like this: [MainWindow] Top=54 PaneSize=555 PreviewLayout=0 ...

I don't know what could be the problem. Did you make any modifications to the code or the project settings before compiling? Are you able to compile other MFC/C++ projects with your VC6 installation, e.g. a sample project created with the wizard? Maybe there is something wrong with the included syst...

By now, you can remove mails from trash! But you must have unchecked the View menu item "Hide Marked Messages" in order to see the messages that have been marked for delete, and press the "Insert" keyboard button (next to the delete button) to unmark it.

I've found the problem and fixed it. Actually, it's a bug in the compuserve IMAP server, which OE and Thunderbird seem to ignore. Therefore I changed the IMAP plugin to ignore this bug too. Just download the updated IMAP4 plugin and replace the old ProtocolIMAP4rev1.dll in the Plugins directory. Ple...

Did you try to set the UseSearchCmd to false?
If not, open the account's settings and click on the button "..." next to the protocol dropdown and use:

Code: Select all

UseSearchCmd = "false";

Think of "Read, NotNew, MarkForDelete, Delete" as labels that are assigned to a message. So, if there is at least one rule that adds the label "Delete" to a message, that message will be deleted (therefore possible other labels have no meaning).

IMAP4 plugin updated!

This was a limitation until now. I've updated the IMAP4 plugin to provide an new option called "Expunge". When set to "true", the plugin will delete all messages that have the \deleted flag on disconnection. When set to "false", all deleted messages remain on the server (flagged as deleted). To chan...

Btw, why do you need a hotkey to open the rules file? Do you edit the rules that often? Shouldn't hotkeys be preserved for every day operations?

Yes, I think this is possible, but we need some different notation to distinguish a "normal" search from this wildcard search.

Any ideas about that? Note, that I want to use 'single quotes' to allow word based search.

Hi Jeroen! Yes, I am still developing PopMan, although I haven't had much time recently. But when you check for an update, you will find Beta 13 is out right now! It's only a minor update in order to fix a bug, that crashes PopMan whenever you hide/show the preview pane (using the options dialog's V...
