I'm not quite sure what you mean. PopMan implements regular expressions by using the open source C++ library Boost, which has all of common regular expressions, as far as I know.

How to use a user-defined language file is described on the Notepad++ homepage under User Defined Language files.

No, there is no built-in WhiteList available in PopMan 1.3 Beta 15, but there will be with Beta 16. When? Soon.

How do you activate the F9 option? I click F9 but nothing happens The menu item "Add item to Rules list F9" is disabled when there is no rules list defined in the rules file. So you first have to add a new list definition (with at least one entry) like this: define list BADWORDS = {''viagra"} Save ...

Actually, the links in the preview pane are meant to be opened in your default browser and it works for me, no matter if I use IE, Firefox or Opera as default browser (but you have to restart PopMan when switching the default browser). Do you use Windows Vista? I did not test it there. Nevertheless,...

I guess you know what a "regular expression" is, if not see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regex In order to be able to use regular expressions with PopMan's rules, I had to introduce a certain syntax that denotes a string as a regular expression. Double quotes are used for plain strings, while singl...

I'm not sure what effect "Allow" should have?
Only black listed mail is deleted automatically.

You have to mask the " character by preceding a ~ character, like this:

Subject contains "YourSp~"amWord" OR Message contains "YourSp~"amWord"

This also implies that you have to write ~~ if you really mean one ~ character.

The "Return-Path:" header is set by the sender of an email. So it doesn't matter if you retrieve it from POP3 or IMAP server. The "Return-Path:" address is used by the receiving mailserver to send an error notification, e.g. if the destination address of the mail does not exist or the mailbox is ful...

I'm not sure that I understand you correctly, but when you display the source of a message, PopMan simply shows the source that has been retrieved from the mail server. It does not hide certain headers.

Btw, I have the header "Return-Path:" in mails from POP3 servers too.

It's because the logging feature doesn't work with plugins.
In the future there will be better logging functionality, e.g. a log file that contains all retrieved message headers and another file that contains the actions performed by rules...
